To date, the forest fire that hit the oil city of Fort McMurray (Alberta, Canada) has forced the evacuation of more than 80,000 inhabitants and destroyed many buildings and homes to the ground.

Landsat-7 and 8 (NASA, USGS) satellite images allow to see the extent of this natural disaster; by juxtaposing a satellite image of the city before the catastrophe (to the left—April 10, 2016) and after (to the right—May 4, 2016).
