Back-end (API) Developer

Your challenge is to help developing user interfaces of a web and mobile app for fertilizer in the agriculture industry. The app aims to make agriculture more profitable and sustainable thanks to technologies such as artificial intelligence, massive data and imagery. As a front-end developer, your challenges will be:
  1. To develop and maintain APIs;
  2. To document APIs;
  3. To develop using TDD methodology;
  4. To assist in the design of an effective architecture;
  5. To take part in code review;
  6. To stay abreast of emerging technologies.
You will work at Effigis Geo-Solutions, a well-established company, within a multidisciplinary team with a start-up attitude entirely dedicated to starting a spin-off company (FieldApex).


2 to 3 years of relevant experience


College degree or undergraduate studies in software development


  • Good knowledge of object-oriented programming;
  • Good knowledge of a back-end programming language (PHP, Node.js or Python);
  • Good knowledge of CI / CD;
  • Good knowledge of authentication mechanisms for APIs;
  • Knowledge of the TDD development method;
  • Experience with Git;
  • Experience with microservice architecture, an asset;
  • Experience with AWS, an asset;
  • Experience with GIS tools (e.g.: PostGIS, GDAL), an asset;
  • Experience with React, an asset.
