Director, Sales and Business Development – Earth Observation



Job description and responsibilities:

The Earth Observation division’s mission is to produce high value-added information from imagery and other geospatial data to support our clients’ operations and decision-making. We are looking for a Director, Sales and Business Development (BD) who will be responsible for:

 

  • Growing revenues and acquiring new customers;
  • Planning, managing, and monitoring the sales and BD of imagery-based products and services;
  • Developing and implementing the annual strategic plan;
  • Understanding customers needs and leading bids and proposals, including negotiations with clients and suppliers;
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and customer service;
  • Managing the sales desk and its staff;
  • Steering and coordinating marketing activities, including trade shows and social media;
  • Maintaining relationships with suppliers and negotiate reseller agreements;
  • Assessing your employees’ performance and achievements;
  • Coordinate sales and BD processes using our ERP/CRM (opportunities, quotes, etc);
  • Ensures relevant ISO 9001 organizational standards are met.

 

Work experience:

More than 10 years of experience in sales and BD and five years of experience in managing sales and BD, preferably in markets served by the Earth Observation Department, such as electric utilities, engineering, forestry, and agriculture.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field;
  • Training in sales and BD.

 

You will be the ideal candidate if you:

  • Demonstrated your ability to develop new markets and lead a sales team;
  • Master a sales qualification process and applied it to sell products and services;
  • Are capable of developing sales strategies and a BD plan;
  • Have a dynamic personality and are motivated by sales and customer satisfaction;
  • Have a good command of spoken and written English and French;
